With Spring in full swing and Easter just around the corner, Sarasota and the surrounding area is boasting that the Gulf coast is the place to be this holiday weekend. There are many events and activities going on all around town, but here are a few of our favorite events we hope you will "hop" on over to and check out.
Jungle Trails and Bunny Tails - Sarasota Jungle Gardens
Friday April 3rd, 2015 from 10 am - 3 pm
Every year, Jungle Gardens hosts this egg-traordinary event for families and children of all ages. Guests have the opportunity to participate in a continuous egg hunt, visit the petting zoo to see bunnies and other animals, have their photo taken with the Easter bunny, ride on a pony, face painting and more. Admission: Adult - $15.99, Kids (ages 4-16) - $10.99, Kids age 3 and under - Free.
Siesta Key Village Children's Easter Party
Saturday April 4th, 2015 from 9 am - 12 pm
This is a great event for the little ones who just can't get enough of the beach and the Easter festivities. The first 125 children ages 1-6 can participate if they've been registered and paid the $10 fee. Participants receive a stuffed Easter animal and an Easter egg hunt goody bag filled with prizes as well as a morning filled face painting, trolley rides, games and more. Easter Brunch on the Bay - Powel Crosley Estate
Sunday April 5th, 2015 at 10 am or 12:30 pm
Enjoy the stunning views of Sarasota Bay from the enchanting Crosley estate. Listen to live music while indulging in the chef created breakfast entrees such as omletes and Belgium waffles. Private tables accommodating 2-20 people are available and can be situated on the patio, inside the mansion or next to the water. Adults: $39, Kids ages 2-10: $24, Kids age 2 and under: Free. Saturday April 4th, 2015 from 9:30 am - 11am
Eggstravaganza is one of Venice's top events in the Spring and should not be missed. Admission is free to all and will be taking place at Centennial Park. The main event is the Easter egg hunt and an opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny, however, prizes, candy and entertainment will be accessible all morning.
