The market is easily accessible from US 41 and has plenty of free parking and live entertainment.

There will also a kick off for the first Irish Spirits Relay Race ! The Lucky Dog Parade judging and awards will be given for dogs that are most Irish, cutest, and dog/owner look alike. 5th Annual Irish Celtic Festival & Lucky Dog Parade

 

March 12, 2016: An educational and fun program, Sidewalk Astronomy, is presented by a local group, the Deep Sky Observers. Telescopes will be up and available for public viewing from sunset. - 10 p.m. (weather permitting). Location: parking lot behind Lakewood Ranch Town Hall (8175 Lakewood Ranch Blvd). Turn from Lakewood Ranch Blvd. east onto Boardwalk Loop, then turn left.Once a month in different locations around Sarasota, the group sets up their telescopes so attendees can view whatever is visible in the night sky on that particular evening. It’s a great way to introduce astronomy to children as well as brush up on your star-spotting skills. In addition, Deep Sky Observers also sets up for special happenings like lunar eclipses. What a wonderful way to enjoy the pleasant weather, under a star-filled Sarasota sky. Sidewalk Astronomy

 

March 12 - 13, 2016: It's the Sarasota Spring Fine Arts Festival. Saturday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. -5 p.m. Gulfstream Avenue and Main Street, downtown Sarasota.
Hosted by the Sarasota Downtown Merchants Association, the event transforms Gulfstream Avenue into an outdoor gallery of original, handmade works by artisans from across America. This tapestry of art is woven from creations in painting, sculpting, jewelry, photography, glass, ceramics, fiber and wearable art, mixed-media, woodworking and much more. All created in a diversity of styles and materials, each body of work unique. Admission is free.

March 13, 2016: The 12th Annual A-Vette Together Corvettes on the Isle 7 am – 4pm.
The show takes place in Centennial Park, downtown Venice.. There will be 165 pre-registered Corvettes from across the State that will be in competition to win one of 55, unique to Venice, Sharks Teeth Trophies, which will be presented at 2pm. 50 Members of the Venice Florida Corvette Club will also have their Corvettes on display. Many Vendors, including the National Corvette Museum, 50/50 raffle (need not be present to win) DJ, food and beverage by the Venice High School Band Boosters.

Lots of fun and beautiful cars and best of all FREE!

For almost 60 years the Sarasota Ski-A-Rees have brought excitement and fun to Sarasota Bay. There are free water-ski shows scheduled throughout the year at their location near Mote Marine. Check their event calendar for details. There are bleacher seats, or you can bring your own lawn chair. There is free parking available as well as a concession stand to purchase snacks and drinks.
