Its Halloween week and time to get outdoors and enjoy the fall fun with or without your pets! There are a variety of events happening this week, check out the 1st annual Celtober Fest, or if you’re in the mood for blues, and are over 21, try the Sip the Sunshine Craft Beer Festival. There is something for everyone this weekend.
Fruitville Grove Pumpkin Festival runs every weekend through October and is a family-friendly event featuring pony rides, festival food, crafters, live music, a mini train ride and much more. The Sarasota Pumpkin Festival will be held at a new location in Lakewood Ranch. This one features a corn maze, rides, games, pie eating contest, beer garden and safe trick-or-treating for the kids. A little further north, you’ll find Hunsader’s Pumpkin Festival October 29 & 30 from 9am to 5pm. A wide variety of activities make this one a family favorite and some of the more popular attractions include 75+ craft booths, live music, a corn maze, hayrides, scarecrow displays, face painting, frog jumping, butterfly experience, rock climbing and a train ride, just to name a few of the activities.
8th Annual Sarasota Pumpkin Festival
October 28th, 29th and 30th, 2016 from 12pm to 10pm daily

Everyone is welcome to participate in the fall-themed activities, including a pumpkin maze, free hayrides, pony rides, carnival rides, safe trick or treating, games, pie-eating contests and costume contests. There are also craft vendors and a beer garden for adults. Admissions is $10 for adults, $7 for students, and $5 for kids. All rides at the fair require a ticket sold separately; proceeds benefit the Lazarus Foundation Inc.
Doga-Ween - 5th Annual Doggie & Kittie Halloween Festival

As a favorite event in downtown Sarasota year after year, Doga-Ween promises to be BIGGER and BETTER in 2016!
If you have attended Doga-Ween in recent years, you certainly will want to make note of our brand new time! Registration for the parade/costume contest will begin at 10:00 a.m. instead of 9:00 a.m. And this year, the parade will begin at 11:15 a.m.
As always, Doga-Ween will be held in beautiful Five Points Park, right in the heart of downtown Sarasota!
Hunsader Farms 25th Annual Pumpkin Festival

In addition, there will be live music throughout the event and an exit swag bag for each guest. Sundown Session is an evening concert that will follow the craft beer festival.
Safe Sex Halloween Bash 2016: Haunted Hollywood presented by Planned Parenthood

20th Annual Sarasota Musical Street Festival

Giving Hunger The Blues Musical Fest is an annual, one-day, musical street festival located at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Center in Sarasota, Florida. The family-friendly event features three stages of live music, including the popular youth stage, dance performances, martial arts demonstrations and dozens of food and beverage vendors. Live music performances are the main attraction, however. Each year, the festival brings phenomenal music to a happy crowd. American Idol’s Syesha Mercado, The Allman Brothers Band’s Dan Toler and AC/DC’s Brian Johnson have each performed at Giving Hunger The Blues.
