Nokomis Beach is located just off the Albee Road causeway on prestigious Casey Key, and has the distinction of being Sarasota County's oldest public beach. While much of the access to the Casey Key beaches is private, Nokomis Beach offers public access for all to enjoy this special island. The beautiful 22 acre beach has frontage on both the Intracoastal and the Gulf of Mexico. Nokomis Beach features a boardwalk through the dunes, a deck and dune walkovers. Visitors can enjoy shelling, as well as swimming diving and boating, A boat ramp, picnic shelters, and a concession stand serving sandwiches, snacks and cold drinks; as well as restrooms and showers round out the amenities. There are lifeguards year round.
