Most of our visitors are not surprised when they hear that the Sarasota Swimming and Diving Dog Cam is second only to our Siesta Key Beach Cam. So, after the number one beach in the Nation(or world as far as we're concerned), my yellow Labrador Retrievers playing in the pool are our the most popular attraction on SeeSarasotaLive.com!
All three grew up here in Sarasota and are in the pool almost everyday. Otter is the lightest in color and dam to a litter of seven AKC yellow labs, two of whom I kept, namely Bleu and Maggie. Bleu is the male lab you see diving to the bottom after his sinking rubber toys. Maggie, the only girl in the litter, favors her white boating fenders, tennis balls and basketballs. Other siblings that return to their birthplace to visit include Harvey, Jack and Drake. So sometimes you'll see eight or ten dogs in the pool at once!
The pool itself is located in the bayfront community of Tropical Shores in Sarasota and is surrounded lush tropical fauna including Bouganvilla, Banana trees and palms.
While the dogs could be in the pool at any given time, they are most commonly seen between 11:00am EST and 6:00pm EST. This is a great cam for all you Sarasota dog and animal lovers. And on rare occasions you may even see a human taking a dip!
