Downtown Sarasota is home to a variety of almost everything you could imagine. From unique shops, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, art galleries, and theaters, you would be hard pressed not to find something you like! Every Saturday, downtown Sarasota plays host for the Farmers Market. For the past 13 years it has been the home of the 10 day long Sarasota Film Festival, which has become quite the popular event. Some of the most visited places in the downtown area include Burns Court Cinema, The Players Theater, the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, Marie Selby Gardens, Sarasota Opera House, and G.Wiz Science Museum. Popular restaurants downtown include Sangria, El Greco, Patrick's, Two Senoritas, Barnacle Bill's Seafood, Ceviche, and C'est La Vie.
