Where to see Christmas Light Displays in Sarasota County

This time of year, it is not uncommon to see your neighbors decorating their homes with “Christmas cheer”.
Some take this much more seriously than others and these homes and establishments draw the attention of many people in the area. Walking along the lit up paths makes for a great date night with your significant other or family outing.
Are you looking for a few places to go to see the Christmas lights this holiday season? Check out a few of these:
Sarasota Jungle Gardens
Holiday Lights Spectacular at Sarasota Jungle Gardens begins on December 6 and runs on the 7, 13-15, 20-24 and 26-29 from 6-9pm. Lights aren’t the only thing you will be able to enjoy at Sarasota Jungle Gardens! Santa will also be there along with roasting marshmallows, s’mores, live entertainment and holiday dinner.

Grace Baptist Church
Christmas at Grace 2013 by Grace Baptist Church runs nightly from 6-10pm from December 13-26. Each night features a different event too, from hayrides to bonfires and from concerts to sing-alongs, Grace offers a little for everyone. Best of all: this event is free!

Grieff Family Sarasota Christmas Wonderland
The Grieff Family will once again fill their garage and decorate their yard and a path with countless lights and figures. Please remember to bring a donation in order to help with the cost of putting on such a brilliant display.

Mission Valley Winter Wonderland
Since 1975, the Enander family has decorated their home with thousands Christmas lights and each year they welcome hundreds of guests to see their display. Two and a half acres of their land is covered with lights and hundreds of figures (some of them even hand-made). You might have to walk a bit to see the display since parking is typically backed up, but admission is free of charge.

St. Armand's Circle
Beginning on December 6 at 5:30pm, the St. Armands Circle Association will present its 35th Annual Holiday Night of Lights. To kick it off, there will be a performance by the Cuban Ballet! Then, at 6, join everyone in singing Christmas carols followed by the Santa Parade. Throughout the night, you will have the opportunity to take pictures with Santa, give to charity and enjoy the many things St. Armands has to offer. Oh! Don’t forget to bring a food donation for All Faiths Food Bank and/or an unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots.
SRQ Trolley Tour of Lights
If you want to see the best light display in Sarasota, take the SRQ Trolley Tour of Lights. This tour costs $15 per person and runs from December 8th through 31st with pickup times at 6:30pm and 8:30pm.
