Full Moon Yoga
Posted by William True on
Many residents and tourist alike wander to north Lido beach to relax on the powdery white quartz sand, listen to the waves crash along the shore and watch the stunning, vibrant sunsets. But once every full moon, this beach caters as the perfect setting for yoga enthusiast to revive and unwind.
Founded by Leslie Talley and Kari Bunker, full moon yoga has been a donation based class open to the public to enjoy each evening the lunar phase produces a full moon. Participants enjoy the fresh gulf breeze and the illuminated night sky during the instructor lead one hour class. When the weather permits, each full moon class brings together anywhere between 30-100 new and experienced participants all gathering for this meeting of the mind and body session.
Intersted in joining? The next full moon yoga session will take place on Monday, September 8th at 8pm by the dunes on the north end of Lido beach (the very end of John Ringling Blvd). Beginners are welcome and veterans to yoga are encouraged to join the fun. Be sure to bring water, a towel, positive energy and a friend or two! For a little extra fun this session, participants will be supplied with a blue glow stick to illuminate during the class.
So come out, rejuvenate, and experience the fun, peaceful energy shared by everyone at full moon yoga. We look forward to seeing you there! Namaste.
